Hello, Philadelphia! It’s Sarita Wynder from Saturday Morning Cleaning Company. Can you believe the holidays are just around the corner? While it’s the most wonderful time of the year, it can also be one of the busiest, and often, the messiest! Between hosting gatherings, preparing festive meals, and decorating, cleaning can quickly fall to the bottom of the list. But with a little planning, you can keep your home sparkling and stress to a minimum, allowing you to truly enjoy the season.
My biggest tip for holiday cleaning is to start early and break it down. Don’t wait until the week of your big celebration to tackle everything. Just like preparing a multi-course meal, holiday cleaning is best done in stages. Begin by creating a checklist of all the areas you want to address and divide it over several weeks leading up to the holidays. This prevents that overwhelming feeling and makes the tasks much more manageable.
Start with the “deep clean” items that don’t need frequent attention. This could include washing curtains, cleaning carpets, or wiping down walls and baseboards. These are tasks that, once done, will hold up well for a few weeks, providing a clean foundation for your festive decor and guests.
If the thought of all this cleaning feels like one more thing on an already packed schedule, remember Saturday Morning Cleaning Company is here to help. We can take on these tasks, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: enjoying the time with your loved ones.
